Refund policy

Kaahu Brews Pvt Ltd – www.kaahuteas.com

At Kaahu Teas, we take pride in delivering carefully sourced and handpicked teas to ensure you receive them in the best possible condition. Since our products are perishable food product regulated under FSSAI guidelines, once dispatched, it cannot be returned or exchanged. However, we stand by the quality of our teas and packaging, and in the rare event of an issue, the following policy applies:

1. Non-Returnable Products

  • All teas sold on www.kaahuteas.com are non-returnable and cannot be exchanged once dispatched.

  • This is due to the perishable nature of tea and compliance with Indian food safety regulations.

2. Replacement or Refund Eligibility

A replacement or refund will be considered only under the following circumstances:

  • The item was damaged during transit, or

  • The item has a manufacturing defect, or

  • An incorrect item was delivered, or

  • The order is marked as delivered (via SMS/email notification) but was not actually received. In such cases, please notify us at help@kaahuteas.com within 3 days of delivery. Courier companies only provide Proof of Delivery (POD) within 3 days, hence timely reporting is essential.

3. Process for Replacement / Refund

  • For an item with damaged products or manufacturing defect or incorrect item being delivered, please reach out to us on help@kaahuteas.com with 

    • Your Order Number,

    • A brief reason for return, and

    • Photographs of the product and packaging (if damaged/incorrect).

  • Once our team verifies the issue, we will issue a replacement at no extra cost or process a refund.

  • Requests must be made within 7 days from delivery.

  • Products sent back to us without our prior confirmation will not be accepted.

4. Cancellations

  • An order once place cannot be cancelled and no returns or replacements will be allowed after the order is processed, except for the reasons given above.

5. Refund Policy

  • If a replacement item is unavailable, we will provide the best possible alternative or issue a full refund as per the customer’s preference.

  • If we are unable to ship an order due to stock or operational issues, a 100% refund will be issued.

  • If the delivery address is outside the courier service area, a 100% refund will be given.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after confirmation.

6. International Shipping & Returns

  • All international orders are shipped from India and may be subject to customs duties, taxes, customs duties and import fees as levied by the destination country.

  • These charges must be borne by the recipient of the shipment. Kaahu Brews Pvt Ltd. has no control over such charges and cannot predict their amount.

  • By placing an international order, you authorize our courier partners to act as your customs agent where required.

  • The import duty may be collected by Courier Company on or before delivery.

Important Limitations:

  • International returns or exchange or replacement are not accepted under any circumstances, as our teas are perishable.

  • Manufacturer warranties (if any) may not be valid outside India.

  • Product manuals, labels, or safety instructions may not be available in the destination country’s language or format.

  • Delivery timelines may be affected by customs clearance procedures.

7. Customs, Duties & Taxes

  • The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all import laws and regulations of their country.

  • The recipient is responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country

  • Customs clearance procedures, if required, may cause delivery delays beyond our estimated timelines.

  • Additional customs charges, if any, must be paid by the recipient.

8. Privacy & Customs Inspection

  • International shipments may be inspected by customs or postal authorities.

  • We may share necessary order details (e.g., product information, invoice, value) with our logistics partners to comply with customs laws.
