Second Flush teas are the second harvest of the year that takes place from late spring to early summer, typically between May and June, when the leaves are well rounded and matured. Second Flush teas are fuller bodied teas with a deep amber color and a bold flavor profile with less astringency.
The hallmark of Second flush teas is their signature muscatel flavor — a unique fruity and sweet note reminiscent of muscat grapes, with hints of nuts and honey and a smooth, lingering finish.
